Terms and Conditions for Coaching Services

Between: Vicki Harvey-Piper (the "Coach") and the Client

By engaging with our coaching services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking any sessions.

1. Nature of Coaching Services

1.1 The Coach provides breakup and divorce coaching services designed to support clients through relationship transitions, emotional healing, and personal

growth.

1.2 Coaching is not therapy, psychotherapy, counselling, or medical advice. The Coach is not a licensed mental health professional or legal advisor.

1.3 The coaching relationship is a professional partnership focused on goal-setting, accountability, and personal development.

1.4 The Client acknowledges that coaching may involve discussing challenging emotions and experiences related to breakups and divorce.

2. Coach's Responsibilities

The Coach agrees to:

2.1 Professional Standards: Conduct all coaching sessions with professionalism, respect, and confidentiality.

2.2 Focused Support: Provide guidance, tools, and strategies specifically related to navigating breakups, divorce, and relationship transitions.

2.3 Session Preparation: Be prepared for scheduled sessions and give the Client full attention during appointments.

2.4 Confidentiality: Keep all information shared by the Client confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is an imminent risk of

harm to the Client or others.

2.5 Boundaries: Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and inform the Client if any request falls outside the scope of coaching services.

2.6 Referrals: Recommend the Client seek appropriate professional help (therapist, lawyer, medical professional) when issues arise that fall outside the scope of

coaching expertise.

2.7 Non-Judgment: Provide a safe, non-judgmental space for the Client to explore their feelings and experiences.

3. Client's Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

3.1 Honesty: Communicate honestly and openly with the Coach about their situation, feelings, and goals.

3.2 Engagement: Actively participate in coaching sessions and complete any agreed-upon actions or exercises between sessions.

3.3 Self-Responsibility: Take full responsibility for their own decisions, actions, and outcomes, recognizing that the Coach is a guide and not a decision-maker.

3.4 Timeliness: Attend scheduled sessions on time and provide adequate notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

3.5 Appropriate Use: Understand that coaching is not a substitute for therapy, legal advice, financial planning, or medical treatment, and seek appropriate

professionals for those needs.

3.6 Mental Health: Inform the Coach of any mental health conditions or if they are currently under the care of a mental health professional.

3.7 Payment: Make timely payment for coaching services as agreed.

4. Scheduling and Cancellations

4.1 Sessions will be scheduled by mutual agreement between the Coach and Client.

4.2 Cancellation Policy: The Client must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in the

Client being charged for the full session.

4.3 If the Coach needs to cancel or reschedule, the Client will be given as much notice as possible, and the session will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

4.4 Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in termination of the coaching relationship.

5. Fees and Payment

5.1 Coaching Fees: Fees will be confirmed according to the client's choice of session or package selected at the time of booking.

5.2 Payment Terms: Payment is due prior to the session or at the start of a package of sessions.

5.3 Payment Methods: Bank transfer is the accepted payment method.

5.4 Fee Changes: Fees are subject to change with 30 days' written notice.

5.5 Late Payments: Late payments may result in suspension of coaching services until payment is received.

6. Confidentiality

6.1 All information shared during coaching sessions is confidential, subject to the following exceptions:

Where disclosure is required by law

Where there is imminent risk of harm to the Client or others

Where the Client provides written consent to share information

6.2 The Coach may take notes during sessions for professional use only. These notes will be kept securely and confidentially.

6.3 The Coach may use anonymised information from coaching experiences for educational or marketing purposes, ensuring no identifying details are disclosed.

7. Limitations and Disclaimers

7.1 No Guarantees: The Coach makes no guarantees or warranties regarding specific outcomes from coaching services.

7.2 Not Legal Advice: The Coach does not provide legal advice. Clients should consult a qualified lawyer for legal matters related to divorce or separation.

7.3 Not Mental Health Treatment: Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, or treatment of mental health conditions. Clients experiencing mental

health crises should seek immediate professional help.

7.4 Client Decisions: The Client acknowledges they are responsible for their own choices and actions, and the Coach is not liable for the Client's decisions or

their consequences.

8. Termination

8.1 Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time with written notice.

8.2 Upon termination, the Client is responsible for payment for any completed sessions.

8.3 Prepaid packages may be refunded on a pro-rata basis for unused sessions, subject to the refund policy communicated at the time of purchase.

8.4 The Coach reserves the right to terminate the coaching relationship if the Client is disrespectful, abusive, or repeatedly fails to meet their responsibilities.

9. Communication

9.1 The primary methods of communication will be confirmed at the start of the coaching relationship (e.g., email, phone, video call platform).

9.2 The Coach will endeavour to respond to messages within 24-48 business hours.

9.3 Emergency Support: Emergency support is not provided. In case of emergency, the Client should contact emergency services or a crisis helpline.

10. Liability

10.1 The Coach's liability is limited to the total fees paid by the Client for coaching services.

10.2 The Coach is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from the coaching relationship.

11. Data Protection

11.1 The Coach will process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR.

11.2 Client information will be stored securely and not shared with third parties except as required by law or with the Client's consent.

12. Disputes

12.1 Any disputes arising from these terms will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith discussion between the parties.

12.2 If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled according to the laws of England and Wales.

13. Modifications

13.1 These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Clients will be notified of any material changes.

13.2 Continued use of coaching services after notification constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

14. Entire Agreement

14.1 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Coach and Client regarding coaching services.

Acceptance of Terms

By booking a coaching session or package, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
